Creating Lineups
Watch the how to video here:
- Load your event from the main screen by either double clicking on the event on the calendar or click the blue button labelled “Load Current Active Event” if your event is currently set as the system wide active race.
- Click on the “LINE UPS” button at the top. It will turn green once selected and you will see all of your classes as tabs across the top of the screen. Click on the tab of the class that you would like to create lineups for.
3. Select the run type that you would like to create a lineup for from the grid on the left.
4. If lineups have already been created you will see them in the area to the right. If not it will be blank as shown above. Now click the “Generate / Regenerate Lineup for selected race” button. If lineups were previously created, a message similar to the one below will appear. Click Yes to create the new lineups.A window similar to the one below will appear. The lineup pool on the left side of the screen will include all of the cars that are based on the start position type (in this example the start position for this race is set as Pill # so all of the cars from registration will be in the list and will be sorted by their pill number).
- To remove a car from the lineup that will be generated, select it by left clicking on it, then right click to remove. If you removed one by accident just close this window and then reopen it by clicking on the “Generate / Regenerate Lineup” button from the previous screen.
- The lineup pool is based on the start position type in the race setup. If this example was set for a heat race, etc it would either be “previous race(s) qualifying positions” or “previous race(s) finish positions” thus ordering them by finish positions or qualifying times.
- If you need to do any inverts, use the grey box at the bottom to either invert all or invert the top X number of cars.
- Other options enhancements are listed under the red fold out menu at the bottom. Click on the red bar for optional enhancements.Once any option enhancements have been made (if applicable) and you are ready to create the lineups, click on the “Generate Lineups” button.
- The lineups will build out to the right.
- If pit boards are turned on a message will appear similar to the one below asking if you are ready for the system to push these lineups out to them.
- If pit boards are not turned on then the window will close.
- The newly created lineups should now be on the screen and the lineups can be printed by clicking on the “Print Lineups” blue button on the right side of the screen above the lineups.
- Once this race is complete, enter in the results using the “qualifying / results” button at the top to access the results menu. To generate the lineup for the next run type (in this case the heat race) click on the run type, and then click the “Generate / Regenerate Lineup for selected race” button.
In the below example it is showing the start positions as being “previous race(s) qualifying” thus the transferred cars in the lineup pool to the left are in order of their qualifying times from the previous qualifying race. Click the “Generate Lineups” button to create the lineups.- Troubleshooting: If the cars are not in the lineup pool check your race setup by closing this window and then clicking on the “Modify Race” button on the top bar.
- Verify that your starting position type is set correctly (pill, previous race qualifying / positions). More often than not, if it is set for qualifying times but all you have in are finish positions the system will not be able to pull them in due to no times being there.
- If that all looks good, check that your previous race has transfer positions that are transferring out to this race. If you did not have transfer positions setup but have just modified it to have them, re-save the results of that previous race before generating lineups. This will push out the transfers to this race.
- Troubleshooting: If the cars are not in the lineup pool check your race setup by closing this window and then clicking on the “Modify Race” button on the top bar.
- The below example shows the heat races (there are three of them with two cars per row each). If you need to swap drivers or scratch a car, select it in the lineup list and then right click for the options to do so.
- To print the lineup- click the blue “Print Lineups” button on the right side
- To print the lineup- click the blue “Print Lineups” button on the right side
- TO MODIFY THE LINEUP (also to add provisionals):
- Once the lineup has been created click on the “DRAG AND DROP LINEUP(S) button above the lineups.
- A window similar to the one below will appear. One the right side of the screen are all registered drivers that are not in the currently lineups. Drag and drop drivers from any where to move them where they need to go. Once finished, click the “SAVE LINEUPS” button in the top right corner.
- TO FLIP THE RACES (Group Qualifying):
- From the lineups screen, click on the “FLIP RACES” button above the lineups. A window similar to the one below will appear. This window will show the fast time of the race (if its a qualifying / timed race).
- Double click the row to input the race that it needs to be flipped to. A window will appear with a drop down to select the race the selected one needs to be swapped to. Click save.
- Once the races that need to be flipped have been set, click the “FLIP CARS TO SELECTED RACES” button at the bottom to move the cars.
